ProjectAnnouncementANNOUNCEMENT:The Team Graphics32 is proud to announce the first release of the Graphics32 library under the Mozilla Public License. http://sf.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=112985&package_id=122211 Although this new version 1.5.1b doesn't sport any new features or fixes yet (except for the new license), it marks a new era in the Graphics32 development with a new tool (SourceForge) and new active maintainers.
The new project site is hosted at SourceForge, an open source project management tool.
The new website and FAQ is currently under construction. We're using the Wiki concept in order to make it easy for everyone to collaborate on content.
This new forum is a direct interface to the g32org.public.graphics32 newsgroup. Articles you post here can also be read on the forum and vice versa.
Using CVS to get GR32 sourcesYou can also access the current development sourcecode via the CVS repository. In order to do so, just follow the instructions at: http://www.graphics32.org/wiki/index.php/Main/CVSSnapshot Who is Team Graphics32?At the moment the team consists of the following members:
Andre and Michael initially lead the effort to move the project to SourceForge. The future of Graphics32From now on the library will be developed by contributing members of the Graphics32 community. It is our aim to keep a high standard, both performance and -qualitywise. Therefore the library will not be fully open in terms of full contribution freedom: you're all free to contribute with code, ideas and feature requests, but have in mind that in order to keep the project consistent, some review and management is needed. The tools offered by SourceForge are of great help in this respect. We ask you to report bugs and participate in the developer-discussions at our project page at sf.net (see above). However there are no obligations and even the smallest comment or contribution is welcome. To do so you might want to sign up for an user account at http://sf.net . This will allow you to file requests, bugs and upload patches. Team Graphics32 is of course ready to grow bigger! So, if you're interested in joining as developer and have something to offer, you're welcome to reply privately. Graphics32 LogoWe are also looking for a new logo. If you have any proposals, just send them to us within the next month. We'll select the best proposal and make another announcement. For inspiration, think of visualizing some of the features of the library. You must send two versions (in a lossless format like PNG):
Next release: Graphics32 1.6In addition to the already existing patches, we need your response on urgent issues. If you have found any bugs or inconsistencies, please inform us, either privately or in this thread. If you have written any additional libraries or components, or have newer versions of code in the thirdparty section at www.g32.org, and you wish to have your code become a part of GR32, please send us what you have (and a demo too, if possible), so we can investigate and decide on that. We hope you're as excited as we are about this news! Best regards, The Graphics32 Team |
